Programme guide
What is on now and next on each channel, and the TV guide on the boxes, come from XMLTV files: the EPG sources under Live TV > EPG sources.
Mintrix and Ministra each import the guide from the same sources:
| For | Reads | |
|---|---|---|
| Mintrix | Its own apps, Mintrix's MAG app among them | Plain XML, gzip (.gz), xz (.xz) and zip files |
| Ministra | Its portal | Plain XML and gzip (.gz) only |
xz files and Ministra's portal
An .xz source fills Mintrix's guide but not Ministra's: boxes on Ministra's portal then show no programmes. For them, use sources that offer plain XML or .gz.
How programmes find their channel
- By the channel's EPG id (its
xmltv_id, under the channel's settings). A source's id prefix is put before the file's ids first. - A source's languages pick the title and description where a file has several.
- Where two sources give the same channel, the first source's guide is shown.
A channel with an EPG id that no source has gets no programmes. The source list shows how many channels and programmes each source brought.
When it runs
- Both imports run on the same interval, set under Settings > EPG. An unchanged file is not read again.
- A failing source keeps the programmes it brought, and shows why it failed.
- Programmes are kept for the days set under Settings > EPG, then removed.
Settings > EPG shows when each import last ran and when the next is due.
Kept in step with Ministra
EPG sources are synced both ways, like channels: saved in Mintrix they go to Ministra first.
