Your channels and films

Live TV and video on demand are part of every Mintrix. How your channels and films get into it depends on where you start.

An updated Mintrix with a Ministra that has them

A Mintrix updated to 0.7.2 or later fetches its live TV and films from Ministra by itself, within minutes of the update, one after the other, in this order:

  1. TV categories, channels and EPG sources;
  2. video categories, genres, films and series;
  3. service packages, with the channels and films each holds.

Until that is done, the Live TV > Channels and Video on demand > Films and series pages say that they are on their way, and a package keeps its channels and films in Ministra, so saving one cannot empty Ministra's list. Reload the page once it is done. It runs once; when Ministra cannot be reached, it tries again every minute.

After that, Mintrix keeps them: a change is made in Mintrix and saved to Ministra first, and a change made in Ministra's own admin comes back with the next sync.

A new installation

Ministra is new too, and empty. Add your content in Mintrix:

  1. Streaming servers first, if your streams use load balancing: see Streaming servers.
  2. Channels: one by one, or from an M3U playlist with Import M3U: see Channels and categories.
  3. The programme guide: add your XMLTV files as EPG sources: see Programme guide.
  4. Films and series: one by one, filled from TMDB, or from an M3U playlist: see Films and series.
  5. Packages and plans: put the channels and films in service packages, and the packages in tariff plans: see Tariff plans and packages.

Then add a device on a plan, and point its box at Mintrix: see The MAG app.
