Flowtrix
Flowtrix is a streaming server for live TV and video on demand. It takes in your channels and films and gives them to MAG boxes, apps and players as HLS and DASH, checking a signed token on every request. It keeps its own configuration and has its own interface with local accounts, so it runs with or without Mintrix.
Beta
Flowtrix is in beta (0.1.0-beta). Releases come often; each one is offered under System › License. See Update.
How it is built
One server runs three containers, named for what they do:
| Part | Container | Does |
|---|---|---|
| Agent | flowtrix-agent | Keeps the configuration, runs the interface and the /v1 API, makes the qualities with ffmpeg, checks every play token, renews the licence |
| Engine | flowtrix-engine | Takes in the sources (SRT, RTSP, RTMP, HLS, MPEG-TS over UDP), makes live HLS, records for catch-up |
| Edge | flowtrix-edge | The one public entry for video: live, catch-up and films, as files, HLS or DASH, over HTTP or HTTPS |
The agent never sends video itself: the engine and the edge do.

| Catch-up | Recording per channel, in the catch-up and timeshift links Ministra already builds |
| Qualities | 1080p, 720p, 480p and 360p beside the source picture, on the CPU or an Intel GPU |
| VOD | Film and series libraries on your disks; upload, fetch, play as a file, HLS or DASH |
| Who may watch | Token issuers per portal, public channels, viewers and blocking a token |
| Statistics | Viewers by the hour and the day, per channel and library: counts, never who |
