Two screens, as a box shows them

The classic TV view and the TV guide, each on its own screen. The remote beside each one works like a MAG remote.

The classic TV view

MINTRIX

Use the remote, or click the screen and use your keyboard: arrows, Enter for OK, Page Up/Down for CH±, F3 for the yellow key, Backspace for BACK, and numbers. On a touch screen, tap the TV for OK and swipe on it for the arrows.

The TV guide

MINTRIX

Use the remote, or click the screen and use your keyboard: arrows, Page Up/Down for CH±, Enter for OK, Backspace to come back to now. On a touch screen, tap the TV for OK and swipe on it for the arrows.

Everything from Home

Live TV with what is on now, Movies, TV series, the TV guide, Search, My list, Settings and the account, as tiles. HOME comes back here from any screen.

Your brand

Your own logo on the start screen and on Home, uploaded once in Mintrix. Every box shows it, with no new app to build.

Remote or keyboard

Every screen works with the five keys of a remote: arrows and OK. BACK goes one step back, EXIT leaves the screen.

Live TV

Channels without leaving the picture

The channel keeps playing while the viewer looks for the next one. Categories, favourites and the guide are one key away.

Panels over the picture

OK brings up the channel list over the channel that plays. ◀ or the green key open the categories, with the favourites right after All channels; ▶ comes back.

Zapping

▲ ▼ or CH± change channel full screen, with a bar that shows what is on and what comes next. INFO brings the bar back; digits jump to a channel by its number.

Guide and favourites

The blue key opens the TV guide, channels by number with their programmes across the day. The yellow key adds a channel to the favourites.

Films and series

Your video library on the TV

The films and series you add in Mintrix, with the posters and details it fetches for them, in the packages each subscriber has.

A library like a cinema

Films and series by genre and what is new, with posters, age ratings and a 4K mark where a title has it. A title has its own page: the story, the cast, audio and subtitles.

Picks up where you left off

Films and episodes start again where they were stopped. A series lists its seasons and episodes, and the next episode follows after a countdown.

My list

The yellow key keeps a film or series in My list, on Home. Lists and where each title was left are kept in Mintrix, so a replaced box gets them back.

Run by Mintrix

Managed from your panel

The boxes follow what you set in Mintrix: what each subscriber may watch, what you have to tell them, and which version of the app they run.

Parental control

Locked channels, and films and episodes above a box's age limit, ask for its parental code and play once it is right. Wrong too often, and the box waits.

Messages from you

Send a message from Mintrix to one box, the ones you pick or all of them. It shows over any screen until the viewer presses OK, and Mintrix shows that it was read.

Updates without visits

A new version of the app is installed from Mintrix, now or at a set time. Boxes load it the next time they are on Home, and nothing that plays is stopped.

Built for MAG

Light enough for the oldest boxes

Made for the boxes in the field

One small script compiled down to ES5 for the MAG browser, with absolute layout and a lighter look for the older models.

Readable from the sofa

Laid out at 1280×720 and scaled to the screen, with large type, a clear focus and everything inside the TV-safe area.

Sample data here

The channels, programmes, films and pictures on this page are made up. On a box, everything comes from your Mintrix.
