Install

On the server, as a user who can run sudo:

sh
curl -fsSL https://get.newiq.pl/mintrix | sudo sh

A given version: https://get.newiq.pl/mintrix/<version>. Open the address in a browser to read the script first.

What the installer does

  1. Installs Docker Engine and the Compose plugin when they are missing.
  2. Creates /opt/mintrix with compose.yaml and .env, using a new encryption key and random database passwords.
  3. Asks for your licence key and the domain it is for, and activates this server with NewIQ License. Only an active licence for that domain is accepted; a new licence is bound to the domain on its first activation. The key is used once and not kept: see Licence and devices.
  4. On a new installation, asks for the port Mintrix listens on (default 80) and whether users open it over HTTPS.
  5. Downloads Mintrix's images by digest from registry.newiq.pl, with the newest Ministra release, and starts them: Mintrix, Ministra and their databases. See Ministra.
  6. Creates the first administrator: administrator with the password password.

Change the default password

Sign in right away and change the password and email of the administrator account. Anyone who can reach the panel can try the default.

Next: First sign-in.

Install without questions

For automation, pass everything as options:

sh
# https://, Cloudflare in front
curl -fsSL https://get.newiq.pl/mintrix | sudo sh -s -- --yes --license <key> --domain tv.example.com --cloudflare

# plain http://
curl -fsSL https://get.newiq.pl/mintrix | sudo sh -s -- --yes --license <key> --domain tv.example.com --http

A key or domain the licence service refuses is asked for again, with the reason; with --yes the installer stops and says why. All options are listed in Commands.

Without Ministra

For a Ministra that runs on another server, add --without-ministra; Mintrix can then install that Ministra too: see Ministra on its own server. --with-ministra adds the Ministra beside Mintrix later.
