The MAG app
Mintrix comes with its own TV interface for MAG set-top boxes: live TV, the TV guide, films and series, all from your Mintrix. You can try two of its screens on our site.
A box runs either Mintrix's MAG app or Ministra's own portal, depending on the portal address it is given. Both can be used side by side, box by box.
Put a box on the app
On the box: Settings > Servers > Portals, then Portal 1 URL:
http://<your Mintrix domain>/mag/index.htmlhttps:// works where the box's browser accepts your certificate; plain http:// works on every MAG.
The box then signs in by itself with its MAC address, if a device with that MAC exists in Mintrix (Subscribers > Manage Subscribers). A device without a MAC signs in with its login and password, typed with the remote. A box Mintrix does not know shows its MAC, ready to be added.

Keys: arrows and OK everywhere; BACK goes one step back; INFO shows what is on; CH± change channel or turn a page; digits jump to a channel by its number; the colour keys as shown at the foot of each screen.
What comes from Mintrix
- Channels, the guide and films: what the device's plan gives (see Channels and categories and Films and series), with the guide Mintrix imports (see Programme guide).
- Your logo: upload it under Settings > General, and every box shows it on its start screen and Home in place of Mintrix's.
- Lists: favourite channels, My list and where each film and episode was left are kept in Mintrix, per device. A replaced or reset box gets them back.
- Messages and commands: see Send to box.
- The subscription: a box that is switched off or expired shows why at once, with its MAC address and Try again, and comes back by itself once the device is on again.
- The app itself: see Updating boxes.
Older boxes
The app is one small script for the MAG browser, down to the MAG 245 and the 250/254 line. Older models get a lighter look by themselves.
