Tariff plans and packages
What devices subscribe to, under Tariffs > Tariff Plans and Tariffs > Service Packages: tariff plans set how long an activation lasts and what it costs; service packages set what is in it.

How a plan is used
- Chosen for a device. A device is added on a plan, and a renewal can change it.
- Charged in credit. Each activation and renewal costs the plan's price, charged to the device's reseller.
- Runs for its months. The device's expiry moves on by the plan's months, from its expiry date, or from today if that has passed.
- Gives its packages. Included packages are always on; optional ones only for devices that switch them on.

A plan that comes from Ministra stays inactive until it has its months and price.
Service packages
A package lists what it gives, picked one by one, or the whole catalogue: everything of its type, including what is added later.
- TV packages hold Mintrix's channels: see Channels and categories.
- Video packages hold Mintrix's films and series: see Films and series.
- Once-only (rental) packages let viewers rent videos for a time on the box. They are managed in Ministra and read only in Mintrix.
A device gets the channels and films of its plan's included packages. Optional packages a viewer switches on are not counted until they are synced, so a device never gets what it does not pay for.
Right after an update
A Mintrix updated from a version before 0.7.2 first fetches its channels, films and packages from Ministra by itself, within minutes. Until then a package keeps its channels and films in Ministra, and the TV and Films pages say that they are on their way. See Your channels and films.
Kept in step with Ministra
Plans and packages are synced both ways; a plan's months and price exist only in Mintrix. Changes made in Ministra come back with the next sync; the last change wins.
