Licences and the client area
Every NewIQ product is licensed through NewIQ License. You buy a licence in the NewIQ store and find its key in the client area, my.newiq.pl. The installer activates the key for your server's domain, and the server then keeps its licence itself.

Plans
A plan sets a product's limits and features:

Prices and the plans on offer are in the store. A recurring licence can move to another plan of the same product: an upgrade is billed for the rest of the period and applies once paid; a downgrade applies when the period ends.
How each product checks its licence
Both products work the same way. The installer activates the key for the domain once; the key is not kept. From then on the server holds a lease signed by NewIQ License: renewed daily, checked on the server itself without asking anyone, and valid for up to 14 days, so a short outage changes nothing.

When a licence ends
Whatever the product, nothing already serving your viewers stops: playback, live channels and devices in use keep working. Changes wait (adding channels or devices, installing and updating) until the licence is renewed, and nothing is deleted. Each product's own rule: Flowtrix, Mintrix.
