Parental control

Viewers set parental control on the box themselves: on Mintrix's MAG app, Settings > Parental control. It works with your Mintrix, so it stays the same when the box is replaced.

The code	Four digits, chosen on the box and entered twice. Mintrix keeps it only as a hash
Age limit	All ages, up to an age, or "I am an adult"
Purchases	Whether the code is asked before a purchase

What is locked

With parental control on, the box asks for the code before it plays:

• a censored channel, or a channel in a censored category (see Channels and categories);
• a film or episode above the age limit, or one marked censored (see Films and series).

Once the code is right, it plays. The code that opened a series is kept for the next episodes it plays on to.

After too many wrong codes, the box waits a few minutes before it takes the code again.

A forgotten code

Mintrix has no way to reset a box's code in the panel yet: Mintrix keeps only its hash. A viewer who knows the code can change it on the box, or turn parental control off.
