Install

On the server, with Docker running:

During the beta

https://get.newiq.pl/flowtrix serves the newest stable release, and there is none yet: until 0.1.0, name the version as above. The newest beta is listed under your licence in the client area.

The installer belongs to its release and installs that version. Open the address in a browser to read it before you run it.

What the installer asks

1. Your licence key (FLOWTRIX-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX) and the domain it is for, as a host name only: tv.example.com, without https://, a port or a path.
2. At the first install, whether a reverse proxy on this server serves Flowtrix (Caddy, nginx, one serving several sites on 443, often behind Cloudflare). It suggests yes when something already holds port 443. See HTTPS and a reverse proxy.
3. Another port for any that is in use, naming what holds it.
4. On a new server, the first admin: a username (admin by default) and a password, asked twice. Press Enter for a password the installer makes and shows once.

What it does

1. Activates the licence for your domain with NewIQ License. A refusal is shown as the licence service words it, with what to do.
2. Writes the activation and the first lease into /opt/flowtrix/license/. The licence key itself is not kept.
3. Pulls the release's three images from registry.newiq.pl by the digest the release names, and checks each one. No registry login stays on the server.
4. Writes /opt/flowtrix/compose.yaml and /opt/flowtrix/.env (mode 0600), with a new FLOWTRIX_SECRET.
5. Finds an Intel GPU and gives it to the agent for qualities.
6. Sets up the updater, for updates from the interface.
7. Starts Flowtrix, waits until it answers, and prints the interface's address and how to sign in. If it does not come up, the files before are put back.

Without a terminal and without an answer it needs, the installer stops and names the variable.

Run it again

Running the installer again on the same server is a reinstall: the same activation with a new secret, your configuration and data kept. Press Enter at the key question to keep the server's activation. This is also how a server takes its activation back after a copy of it renewed the licence (see Servers, domains and keys).
